Archive 001 — Updates
Updates document the archive as it grows.
An update may record a newly filed document, a newly received response, confirmed delivery, a court event, a newly verified source, or a correction to archive metadata.
Updates do not silently rewrite earlier history. When later evidence changes the understanding of an earlier event, the earlier record remains visible and the new information is added with its own date and source. Mailing acceptance and delivery are recorded separately; document date, postmark date, receipt date, filing date, and archive-ingestion date are kept distinct when they differ.
This preserves a central feature of Archive 001: not merely what is eventually known, but what the documentary record showed at each stage.
