September 29 was the day the judge issued the order allowing me to file my amended answer and counterclaims.
I hadn't included counterclaims in my original answer. I had learned that I needed the judge's permission to add them, and on September 29 he gave that permission.
In the order, he directed me to file them promptly. So I did. I filed them that night.
That didn't mean he had decided my claims were right, or that anybody had done anything wrong. It was a procedural step. But I was still grateful.
The judge didn't have anything to do with me being sued. What I appreciated was being able to put my claims into the case and take the next step.
That's basically what that day meant to me.
Documents and dates
The September 29 order grants leave to file the authorized pleading and directs prompt filing. The amended answer, defenses, and counterclaims were submitted that evening. The order authorizes filing; it does not decide the merits. Submission, clerk acceptance, and service remain distinct events.
