As you might imagine, this case began consuming a lot of my bandwidth and resources. I realized that the case would end, and when it did, I would hate for everything I had invested in it to be gone or lost.

So I began creating this archive. I'm recording this on October 2, only a few days after beginning this version of it on September 29.

I wanted to preserve the process, the material, and all of the work. I think processes can have more value than we sometimes see. Publishing gives that work somewhere to go.

I'm interested in processes. I'm interested in people. I'm interested in many things. This was an opportunity to show what it was like to be sued without having counsel, by an institution with far more resources than you, while questioning the account being put forward against you.

I'm a disabled veteran. The papers I received carried a verification from Interstate Credit Union's president and CEO, Stacie Branch. That was the title of the person who had sworn to the complaint. That was part of why this experience mattered to me.

I wanted the experience preserved. The case will end. I want the archive to remain, long after I'm gone.

After this, I can document the next thing, or another person's story. This is only one part of what I am building.

I know people who would have found something like this frightening enough that it could have stopped them from acting. With the technology available now, there are ways to learn and do things for yourself that weren't as accessible before.

The amount of work I've done on this case is enormous. The amount I've learned is enormous, too. I'm very grateful that this happened, and I'm grateful to the people who brought it about. I really am.

I wanted other people, if they're interested, to be able to read the story, listen to it, and interact with it. If you want to learn something, it's easier to do now. If you want to make something, it's probably never been easier.

It'll find whoever needs it.

It's me telling my story this time. But everybody has a story, and there's a story inside everything. This isn't my whole story by any means. It's one little piece of it.

I felt that piece was worth telling. And I thought people would find it interesting.
